Matsushita at 60: world premiere of Tantum ergo in Tokyo

On Friday 14 October Ēriks’ new work Tantum ergo was premiered at the 60th anniversary concert of Japanese conductor and composer Ko Matsushita in the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. The concert was performed by The MET (Koyukai Choir), conducted by Ko Matsushita, with Katsunori Maeda on piano and Hidehiko Kozai on percussion. 

In celebration of Ko Matsushita’s 60th birthday, sixteen composers from around the world were invited to present new works: Orbán György, Gyöngyösi Levente, Szabó Barna, Paweł Łukaszewski, Vytautas Miškinis, Javier Busto, Ambrož Čopi, Damijan Močnik, Ivo Antognini, Matteo Magistrali, Stephen Leek, Rihards Dubra, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Urmas Sisask, John August Pamintuan, and Hideki Chihara.
