First listen to new Tagore setting I Traveled the Old Road

Iowa Public Radio offers a first listen to Ēriks’ recent work I Traveled the Old Road, a setting of a text by Bengali polymath and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941) first published in Tagore’s collection Lover’s Gift and Crossing (1918). Scored for choir and clarinet, the work was commissioned for the farewell concert of Drake University Choral Director and Distinguished Professor of Conducting Dr Aimee Beckmann-Collier, who led choral programmes for thirty years at Drake.
