Australian premiere of Lakes Awake at Dawn

On September 3 and 11, Ēriks' work Lakes Awake at Dawn will have its Australian premiere with the Queensland Festival Chorus, Brisbane Symphony Orchestra and conductor Antoni Bonetti. The work features texts by the Latvian writer Inga Ābele and texts compiled by the composer after various writings on lakes. It was a joint commission by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in celebration of the work of their music director Andris Nelsons.
